About Following The Journalist

The readers are communications teams, spokespeople and agencies in the Netherlands who track coverage and handle questions from journalists.

This site has no link with any newspaper, university, company or person of a similar name. It is a guide, not a news outlet, and it has no newsroom of reporters.

The guides cover two things: media monitoring (what the tools do, what they cost and which alternatives exist for Dutch media) and press inquiries (how a team receives, assigns and answers journalist questions, and how to prepare spokespeople for a crisis).

How the guides are written

Each guide starts with a short answer, followed by the detail behind it: prices per month and per year, what is included, and where a tool is a weaker fit. Where a price or feature comes from a vendor, the guide says so and shows the date it was last reviewed.

What you will not find here

We do not publish invented statistics, anonymous testimonials or paid rankings. If a number cannot be checked, we leave it out.
